Be welcome, traveller! This is "Visões Obscuras - Dark Visions".
This place is a gallery of dark, epic and emotional artworks; inspired in legends, heroes, myths and some other cool themes...
There are two different 'types' of images: 100% PM and Photo-manipulation.

This website was tested on the latest versions of these browsers: Opera, Firefox, IE and Safari. I don't recommend using Internet Explorer though.

100% PM - All images created by PM using Photoshop, Illustrator, Terragen and pencil... (click on the titles to see the images)

	Moonset - In The Land Of Shadows \| 09/12/2006 \| Photoshop and Illustrator It was the first nice character and image I have created. Maybe that is the reason why it is one of my favourite (if not my favourite) and always will be, no matter how many images I make. The character is called 'Knight of Doom', and in spite of his bad temper he is very cool!
	Darkness vs Lightness \| 13/12/2006 \| Photoshop Well, I had to make one about Darkness vs Lightness. It is almost like a cliché, but it is always nice to handle this subject. This was the first time I used the Lightflies.
	The Force Of Nature - Sunset in Poseidon's Sea \| 25/12/2006 \| Photoshop I am really happy with the result on this one. The idea was to make a chaotic scene, with lots of movement. It occurs on a sea, so it is probably due to Poseidon's mood, hehe...
	Acqua - The Sacred Planet \| 21/04/2007 \| Photoshop This was my first true attempt on making a planet. I am really happy, because in spite of the huge amount of layers it got very cool!
	The Carnation Revolution \| 25/04/2007 \| Photoshop I made this image precisely on 25th April, there was not other subject on TV besides the celebrations of the 'Carnation Revolution' (took place in Portugal, 1974). This revolution was pacific, there was no deaths, and so I tried to represent that on the image.
	Excalibur \| 18/05/2007 \| Photoshop This is another image I had to make: excalibur is the legendary sword! I always found funny the fact that the sword was carved in stone, and no one but the true king could release it. Only the chosen one could do it...
	The Dead Tree Cliff \| 05/07/2007 \| Photoshop I thought of a mystical landscape, with a little waterfall, a full moon, and an ancient tree, wich is almost like a bridge that links our world and the world of the death.
	Bloody World \| 06/10/2007 \| Pencil-drawing and Photoshop Yeah, it is a bloody world this one we live in. But it is the one we have...
	Winterfall - In the Land of Snow \| 08/10/2007 \| Pencil-drawing and Photoshop I think I like to draw trees hehe. I drew this one, and thought it would be cool to make a snow environment, reminding the great lands of the Northern Europe.
	Magmus \| 29/12/2007 \| Photoshop I decided to go back on the planets, this time a more creepy scenario, with a giant of fire called Magmus.
	Gelid Sunset \| 04/04/2008 \| Terragen and Photoshop My first experience with Terragen followed by some Photoshop work. I am very satisfied, and will use Terragen more often now to make cool landscapes.
	From The Depths Of Hell \| 02/05/2008 \| Photoshop Using a new technique I found based on smudging (I dont know if it was already used, probably yes, but I developed it on my own) I created this evil beast, the darkest character I have ever made, coming from the depths of hell!
	The Mists Of Darkness \| 27/06/2008 \| Photoshop Inspired on the Neuschwanstein Castle, wich was the inspiration of Cinderella's Castle too. The aim was to create a satisfatory castle, in a nice misty environment. And the title comes from 'The Mists Of Avalon', the movie.

	Global Warming - Why? \| 28/01/2007 \| Photoshop and two photos This is the most popular image of my gallery, maybe because it handles a very actual subject. I dont like to enter politics, I just wanted to create an image about Global Warming in an original way.
	PM The Warrior - The Journey Begins \| 18/06/2007 \| Photoshop and two photos My first image using a photo of myself. Tried to create an epic environment, just like a movie poster. Have to thank my friend for taking this photo, with a cellphone --' .
	Maiden Of Death \| 18/07/2007 \| Photoshop and one photo This is what happens when you have the chance to grab such a cool thing! You take a photo of course! Heavily edited on Photoshop, this is one of the most dark images I have. Nice effect with the smudge tool.
	Spartan \| 28/08/2007 \| Photoshop and two photos I enjoyed making this one, because I got to mix the background and myself on a credible environment and then add the spear and shield in Photoshop. This was inspired on the 300 movie, hehe, but using some modern clothes...
	Spirit Of The Hawk \| 24/11/2007 \| Photoshop and three photos One of my best, no doubt. I wanted to make an image of my standarts, but improving the lightning and Photoshop elements (sword and staff). This was cool, because it was the first time I actually took the photo to make this image, so it got more realistic.
	Prepare For Glory... \| 13/12/2007 \| Photoshop and one photo Once again inspired on the 300 movie. Very retouched on Photoshop, of course (you do not think that scar is real do you? :P).
	The Dark Tower \| 17/12/2007 \| Photoshop and five photos Featuring one of the symbols of Porto, the Torre dos Clérigos, it is an image with darkness and some sadness, but with a little bit of epic too...
	Enchanted Forest \| 19/12/2007 \| Photoshop and eight photos Well, this one really is an ensemble of photos. About 8 different pics were used on this one, not to mention the digital effects on Photoshop. It is an enchanted forest, but not that kind of enchanted with lots of happiness and colours, I tried to give a more misterious and dark look.
	Fallen Glory \| 03/10/2008 \| Photoshop and one photo As you must have noticed, I like this kinds of trees. I like to capture them on photos, as well as drawing them. This one was on Gerês. When I saw it for the first time, I knew instantly that it would make a nice shot! And so it did...
	Calling Of Hope \| 17/11/2008 \| Photoshop and two photos On the original photo, I was drinking from a plastic bottle of water. It was taken some time ago, but recently, when I was viewing it, I thought: "Hey, wait a minute, I could be blowing a horn, like those warriors or sentinels from the past...". I managed to create a nice horn on Photoshop, I'm pretty happy...
	Meadows Of Heaven \| 24/11/2008 \| Photoshop and two photos One thing I really like to stare at is a beautiful sky. These clowds were so majestic and golden, that I couldn't resist to take a photo. Of course that with a little photoshop work, everything becomes even more spectacular. This is one of my favourite images now.
